Week two, and I have to say it hasn’t been the easiest of times trying to get everything off the ground. Problems with banks, broadband and delivery companies, has left me wondering how anything manages to function at all. However, with a little bit of persistence, things are finally falling into place.
With all that said, the time I have lost over the last 8 days has left me feeling a little short-changed, but let’s not grumble – we finally launched as an incorporated company and will be launching this web site tomorrow (9th Feb 10). Full time development will be commencing very soon and we have lots to look forward to.
The demo databases will be created using real-time feeds from Twitter. This will also stage random traffic surges for all types of transactions (CRUD) plus a number of surges in search requests. In addition, we will publish the schema and be able to demonstrate the advantages of the various storage engines via the DBVu tools.
So, lots to look forward to and with a number of people already joining the beta test program via our development server (how did they find it!!!), we’d better get a move on.
